Thoughts on Social Media

I distanced myself from SNS lately. It’s been almost one year. I thought, I was afraid with the magnetism of sns. It drove people to be crazy. They wanted to get viral, needed public attention, or just showing off, while other could only see through their screen.

The Day After

Ahh… aku kangen sekali.

Sudah hampir tiga pekan sejak kepergianmu saat aku menulis ini. Aku masih ingat, hangatnya tubuhmu yang melemah saat kupeluk terakhir kalinya. Saat menyelimutimu dengan kerudung putih milikku. Saat menaburkan bunga di makammu. Tempatmu beristirahat.

Trace of Memories

Saat ini, aku selalu mencari keberadaannya. Dalam setiap sudut rumahku, di tempat favoritnya. Aku melihat ia menatapku di pintu kamarku, berbaring memanjang menghalangi pintu kamarku. Aku merasakan ia tidur di rak atas meja belajarku, yang membuatku mengosongkan rak itu karena ia suka tempat itu.

Aku terluka sangat dalam sampai detik ini. Kematian memang akan datang mengunjungi setiap makhluk hidup. Aku tahu. Tetapi, kesedihan akibat kehilangan itu terasa menyakitkan. He has gone far away, to a place I couldn’t reach.
